Today Vrbnik draws crowds for its fine food and prestigious restaurants. Vrbnik with his almost untouched and well conserved old architecture is the most charming place on the island of Krk.

Near Vrbnik there are numerous romantic bays with attractive beaches.

The public beach is located in the small bay "Zgribnica". Zgribnica", the public beach of Vrbnik is awarded with the "blue flag", which is assigned by the Environmental Education in European FEEE Foundation. The "blue flag" is a symbol of the water quality and the ecologically preserved environment as well as safety and services. By renewing the award each season the Programme ensures that the beach is constantly living up to the criteria. The water is absolutely clean, there are showers, changing cabins and a restaurant on the beach.

"Potovosce", an extraordinary beautiful pebbly beach near Vrbnik, can be reached by car, boat or on foot. There is a small bar, toilettes and other facilities on the beach.

"Kozica", a  beautiful small beach in a pine grove, is 15 minutes walk from the centre of Vrbnik.

The restaurants "Nada" and "Gospoja" in Vrbnik belong to the  most prominent restaurants on the Island of Krk. The restaurants got several awards for their work and belong to the best Croatian restaurants on the Adriatic coast.
Both restaurants are located in old town of Vrbnik and have a terrace with a spectacular view towards the Riviera of Crikvenica and Novi Vinodol.  The restaurants offer a various gastronomical delights as a monkfish in the sauce of "Zlahtina" (wine), lamb from the island of Krk, the original Krk specialty - surlice. Both restaurants have a nice wine-cellar.

Vrbnik is well known for the Croatian autochthonous white wine "Zlahtina". In the autochthonous stone environment of the wine-cellar you can taste this traditional island wine, smoked ham, Krk sheep-milk cheese or salted fish.  If you make an evening walk through by many, close lanes, visit some art studios and finally, let the evening ends in one of the cosy wine-cellar ("Konobas") enjoying the wine and other specialities.
